AIR FREIGHT DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENT

While performing Air Freight shipment to Kuwait, pls comply following requirement to meet Kuwait customs requirement (per local rule).

1. Pls issue the MAWB To read :

The actual consignee name [As per the valid import license name]

2. Pls ensure the cargo description column on the MAWB read the actual cargo description. Pls do not use the word “Consolidation or “Consolidation as per manifest “. Use of such words will result in to a penalty of USD 175 per amendment in Kuwait (Penalty will be on A/c of defaulter if such wordings used on MAWB.)

3. Handling agent column of MAWB to read “Kuwait International Freight & Logistics Co.

4. Pls ensure the gross weight, net weight, number of pieces, cargo description and such key information of MAWB must be exactly matching with same details shown on commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.) . In other words all information on above 4 shipping documents must be identical. Kuwait customs are very strict on this rule.

5. Pls ensure / co-ordinate with shippers that shipment is arriving Kuwait along with,

A . Original Commercial Invoice  [Do not type as " Performa or  for customs purpose only"]

B. Original Certificate of origin

C. Original Packing List

Notes :

• Commercial invoice should read commodity, quantity item wise, Unit rate , total amount , currency used , Terms of shipment, Country of origin, Name of manufacturers. Consignee name and details.

• Certificate of Origin should be issue from the local authority / chamber at country of origin duly stamped and attested by local chamber.

• Packing list to read actual quantity, commodity, units, net weight,

gross weight etc.

6. Pre Alert Request

Kindly send us the pre alert message and copy of MAW and shippers documents in order to confirm OK prior shipment leaves origin to double check and ensure all above requirements are fully in order.
